Atlanta pfft...

I don't do this much but...  Atlanta lately you suck.  Where do I start with this fantastic rant, ahh yes the citizenery.  I know one 12 year old kid who is going to be good from now on, yes the one who was driven all the way to Nebraska to have his ass abandoned, is now on his way back to Atlanta and possibly being returned to his government shackled "mother."  Tisk tisk.  Crime is funny as usual as someone robbed a bank as a clown, four wheerler rider, and the ever present "guy too busy on the phone to rob this here bank."  All over the Atlanta areas especially Dekald, south Atlanta, and Clayton people who aren't working are standing in 8 hour lines waiting to vote.  Hint:  your vote doesn't matter, you are not helping Obamar (Ted kennedy) this is an electoral system and this state goes ultra heavy Republican every year.  So much like the entire scope of your life you don't matter and are wasting precious oxygen working people could use to make things and contribute.

Another thing this whole historic election business is getting a little played out as well.  I will tell you what a historic election is: one where only property owners can vote, chew on that line standers.  This jim Martin neo socialist douche is killing me also, the old raising your taxes by 23% scam again, heh I'm sure just like president Kennedy plenty of dead folks will be sending Democrats to the hill again.  I remember another young well spoken man who wanted a lot of change in a bad economy once, he did a great job until that one boo boo of invading Poland uncovered his death camps.  Trust me, the death camps are coming back and the non PC are going on the trains.  The only change in our future is the change most people will be begging for when the taxes go through the roof and put the final nail in this economies coffin.

Obamar aside, we are also in this fine city spending millions of taxpayer dollars to defend a wild out of control killer who thought he was suddenly a slave and slaughtered a courtroom full of people.  Yes we must make sure this person gets a fair trial, even though in his mad rage he missed killing the nicer deputies, fail.  We really need to build the island of wayward kitties for prisoners and send them there to build their own thunderdome.  This would be Australia II obviously.

They have also closed another escape route to 75 north in hopes of containing all the working people within the city limits.  Sorry we will just take 14th street and still get out.  For now...  Atlanta DOT try as you may we will find ways out of this jobs program you people (yeah I said it, here take a that one too) call a city.  My head hurts I will be back!

Some election notes to remember all citizens of Atlanta:

• They check for warrants when voting.

• You must pay all outstanding child support when voting.

• Government issued ID is required when voting.

• All leases on rims must be final upon voting.

• The cake is a lie.

• When voting you are enlisted into jury duty.

• All back taxes are due upon completion of ballot.

• They can read your mind while voting.

• They are watching.

Fall

My favorite season has descended upon us, the dark and dreary days of Fall. Autumn, harvest time, whichever you prefer this is the time of year when nature spends it's fruit and dies back for the coming Winter. I'm not sure why Fall is so great, I prefer cooler weather and the changing foliage is a welcome sight after a brutal hot August. Maybe there is a little pagan in me that yearns for Samhain and old Halloweds eve... Either way the seasons are changing and that means my lifestyle is changing.

The bog I so love is now growing slower and getting dormant, while the pond fills with pine needles. The dog is poofing out his winter coat and burrowing more as the house cools. This is also the MMO season because now that it's cold and wet outside all the time, 20 million of us have additional reasons to be in game.

It won't be long until the banana growing season ends and the massive breakdown occurs, requiring either storage or protection from the cold.

I wonder what this winter holds? I can almost smell frost in the air on these cool mornings as the real cold is only just a few weeks away...

Vista hate and Obama love...

 

I have had the pleasure the last day or so of "downgrading" 8 workstations OS. I say downgrading because it's true, Vista business down to Windows XP is truly backasswadrsly thinking. The more I stumble through this old install procedure which I have mostly forgot due to the fact that I have been fully Vista since release, the more I draw parallels between another stupid movement afoot... Read on.

The yummy directx 10, 64bit, gorgeousness that is the Windows Vista OS has been damn nearly ruined by the idiots of this country.  Yes the slow meager PC users still able to make do with 64mb of ram and an integrated video solution I say pfft to you all.  This is the same exact thought process that has now propped up what looks to be the first dictator of this country Barack Hussein Obama.  The same process or lack of insight that led to the mass Vista hate, has led to mass God-making of a barely 3 year veteran of the senate, with nothing more than a few catch phrases and lots of ultra liberal "change..."

What is it about humanity that makes us so fickle?  So apt at being slaves?  Why do the majority of Americans desire to be lead around by the nose by their governments, friends and media?  I get truly angry when I hear fools professing their hate for Vista with no more reason than just the hype.  I have challenged many people I have overheard the last few months; voting for Obama and hating Vista.  The blank stares and brook trout face are the same, "give me one reason why!?"  The answer with mouth breathing pause is always the same:  "Vista sucks" or "Obama change"

 I think this current herd mentality that has infected our society will be what the historians refer to as the turning point in our great republic that led to the eventual implosion of the whole "liberty" trend.  So go on America, Vote for obama, and hate on Vista to quote Chevy Chase: "you ignorant slut..."

I have secretly resumed my leveling of beastmaster in the online installment of the Final Fantasy universe. FFXI we call it, my second grand addiction after the everquest buzz wore off and the relentless PK'ers got old... This is almost year seven of this game for me and sometimes I just yern to get back out there.

Yes the title screen says it all "exploring the world of Vana Diel is a thrilling experience, don't forget your friends, family, or work..." I always laugh a little when I confirm that selection, but it's true the Zen-like quality of the world is such that it is easily addictive.

There is just nothing quite like this game as far ambiance goes, wind in the trees, water effects, it is as close to a meditative experience possible while killing thousands of enemy beastmen in an attempt to reign supreme!

The game certainly shows the huge difference between American and Asian MMO development. The American MMO-market is full of death and destruction, ruthless item questing, and loads of tea-bagging. Whereas Asian MMOs focus on quality of environment and simple things like travel.

In the world of FFXI battle is more of an art with extreme technical styles. Balance is important and only the truly brave attempt breaking the party mold at all. The few that travel deep into rarely used camps at the edge of dangerous areas are usually the mavericks of the game. The Dragoons, Black mages, and the most private and mysterious of all the Beastmaster.

These rare few classes solo in a game never designed for soloing and do so with terribly slow EXP rates plus much chagrin from their fellow adventurers. Beastmasters have enjoyed the title of MPKers for years or camp stealers, much of which spawns from jealousy of watching a single player fulfill an entire party role and grabbing exp chains to the thirds.

The beastmaster is the quiet sometimes shy background character seen to only relate to his flock and have more knowledge of the beasts of the world than any other character. They tame the wild and use nature in the struggle of the day.

When I was first leveling up my original characters like warrior, monk and thief I was always mystified by the roaming beastmasters who seemed so content to make their own path. I always felt so generic sitting in my factory perfect party (tank, dps, healer) when one of these enigmas went by, especially in the old days.

So to fulfill my pledge and mini dream of making it all the way to level 75 solo, I have resumed. After a real hard spot at 57-60 I pushed on through to my current level of 65. I will be resuming my updates as well.

Fall is here and it's the online gaming season, what better time to grind away the cold nights of winter in those dangerous areas no one else goes. As the fellow BST's greet each other, I say: "good hunting!"
